Haridwar & Rishikesh were very disappointing. Hindu temples can’t compete with the dramtic settings of buddhist monasteries. The towns themselves were very dirty.

Favourite location for bollywood, outside Christ Church on the ridge at Simla.
Viceregal Lodge, where amongst other decisions, Indian partition was decided in 1947.
A bit of greenery on the surrounding hills (not much else going on).
Lord Krishna’s birthday. The temple was busy with devotees devoting, and offering offers of gold, incense and myrhh. Well, it seemed like it.
