Spring rains bring Namaqua land to life with flowers, but this year the flowers were poor. Geocap reserve is a stunning arid landscape.
We then headed inland to Augrabies Falls National Park. Falls and landscape were impressive, but incessant midges meant we cut our time short.
After Bam Bam was cleared by Customs, we fitted a roof top tent and headed 250 miles north to Namaqua. De Beers own most of the coast line here, and they allow 4×4 tours of the area. We took the Shipwreck and Strandveld tours.
