Two days drive north of Kgalagadi is Maun, gateway to the Okavango. A few hours on is the Moremi Reserve. We spent three nights at 3rd Bridge Camp. High water levels meant that some of the Park was inaccessible, and some of the bridge / water crossings were a little scary for me.
3 hours north of Augrabies is the Transfrontier Kgalagadi National Park (formerly known as the Kalahari Gemsbok park). We spent four nights here and saw plenty of game. The roads were rough…Bam Bam’s left rear suspension arm broke off. We used the park to cross the border into Botswana and did not see another car all day.
