Rising out of an ancient dried up sea, Kubu Island is a mystical place. Sua Pan seems solid enough, but even our footsteps cracked the thin crust.

Situated in between the great pans of central Botswana is Planet Baobab. A lovely place to recharge batteries, and full of huge baobab trees.

005_Moremi Reserve, Okavango Delta

Two days drive north of Kgalagadi is Maun, gateway to the Okavango. A few hours on is the Moremi Reserve. We spent three nights at 3rd Bridge Camp. High water levels meant that some of the Park was inaccessible, and some of the bridge / water crossings were a little scary for me.
